Wailaogong wài láo gōng · 外劳宫

Location. On the dorsum of the hand, between the second and third metacarpal bones, about 0.5 cun proximal to the metacarpophalangeal joints, in the depression.

The name means outer Laogong, given because the point lies on the back of the hand roughly opposite Laogong (PC8) on the palm. It is a point outside the fourteen channels. It is widely known under the popular name Luozhen, the stiff-neck point, and modern Chinese acupuncture writing discusses it in that context; the classical record for this point is thinner than for the channel points nearby.
